Every morning (typically before 5am), I start my day with the same ritual: A cold plunge!
Usually, the water checks in at a chilly 39°. But it recently dipped to 37°!
It’s not just about enduring discomfort but also spurring action.
Every single day. Consistently. Steadily.
Each time I emerge from the icy water; I feel a sense of clarity and motivation. During my plunge, I pray, I review my goals and prioritize the 2-3 to do tasks that will drive 99% of my progress that day.
No fluff, no wasted motion. Just focused action aligned with what matters most.
Why is this process so powerful?
Because progress doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of a simple, repeatable formula:
1. Take action.
2. Learn from the results.
3. Refine and repeat.
Whether you’re building muscle, growing a business, or innovating in auto insurance, the key is the same. Improvement comes from doing, not deliberating.
At VERVE, this philosophy fuels our success. We embrace action and learning as a teacher, not a foe, and move faster because of it.
Action, learning, and iteration are embedded in our DNA. They’re how we work to outpace the competition.
So, what are the 2-3 things you can do today to make meaningful progress toward your goals?
• Start small, start bold.
• Whatever you do, just start.
• No matter the temperature of the water.
