Claims are typically filed on the day the accident happens. If you happen to file your claim on a date after the accident, please record the exact date and have it ready when you call one of our claims representatives.
We will ask you where the accident took place. Please include details that will pinpoint the location of the accident so that we can process your claim accurately. These details might include the intersection or approximate street address with closest cross streets, and businesses/landmarks that identify the location.
When you call to report your claim, you will be asked questions about the vehicles involved in the accident. You will need to provide information on the vehicle you were driving and any vehicles related to the other parties involved. These details may include make, model, and license plate numbers.
Please provide full names and contact information of the people who were involved in the accident. This may include driver (if not you) and passengers in your vehicle, as well as the drivers and passengers in the other vehicles involved.
If there were any witnesses to the accident, please provide their names and contact information.
Record the police officer’s name, police department and police report number.
Document the accident by taking photos of your vehicle from different angles, showing the damage done to all cars involved.
