Happy 4th of July! Today, I’m especially grateful for the blessings of faith, family, and…

Juneteenth reminds us: freedom didn’t arrive all at once. It came through resistance, delay—and unshakeable hope.
In 1865, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the news of freedom finally reached Galveston, Texas.
That delay didn’t erase the truth of liberation. It only deepened the cost and the courage behind it.
At VERVE, we talk often about fairness, integrity, and building systems that serve people.
On Juneteenth, those aren’t just corporate values, they’re historical necessities.
This day forces us to ask ourselves:
• Are we using our influence to lift others?
• Are we creating tables where every voice is heard?
• Are we leading with purpose, not just profit?
As a faith-driven founder, I believe we’re called to more than just business outcomes.
We’re called to restore, uplift, and champion the dignity of every human being.
Juneteenth isn’t just Black history.
It’s American history.
And it’s a call to remember, reflect and act.
Let’s build something that honors freedom. Every day.
