Happy 4th of July! Today, I’m especially grateful for the blessings of faith, family, and…

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
Raising four daughters has taught me more about leadership, grace, and faith than any boardroom ever could.
This Father’s Day, I’m not claiming to have it all figured out, but here are 7 parenting principles I try to live by:
1. Be present, not perfect.
Your kids don’t need a flawless dad. They need one who shows up—when it’s convenient and when it’s not.
2. Keep faith at the center.
Let prayer be first, not the last resort. Make God’s Word the foundation—not just a Sunday ritual, but a daily rhythm. Pray with your children every night before bed. Passing on your faith to the next generation is the most important gift you can give your children.
3. Speak identity over them.
This world will try to define your children for you. Remind them who they are in Christ, and who they are to you. Every single day.
4. Build their self-worth early.
Encouragement isn’t fluff; it’s fuel. Catch them doing things right. Tell them they’re capable. Let them try everything while they look for their passions in life. Tell them you are proud of them. Loved. Chosen. Enough.
5. Apologize when you mess up.
Humility earns more respect than authority ever will. I’ve learned to say, “I was wrong. Will you forgive me?” It changes everything.
6. Protect the tone of your home.
As dads, we set the emotional thermostat. When I lead with peace, prayer, and patience, it multiplies.
7. Teach them how to work, and how to rest. Kids learn by watching. Show them how to work hard and rest well.
Fatherhood is the greatest leadership role I’ll ever have.
And the only title for me that truly matters to the kids at the end of the day… is Dad.
Happy Father’s Day to all the men raising up the next generation, with courage, conviction, and love.
